| Blue Tit Diary for 2007 | |
| | | | | |

| |
21st March | | Box and camera finally up and running and a pair of tits investigate | | | |
| |
| |
| | 28th March | | Nest building starts. "Flipping eck who put the nitro in the feed?" | | | |
|
| |
| 30th March | | Its a sharing thing. | | | |
|
| |
| 1st April | | Hello - whats up here then? | | | |
|
| |
| 7th April | | This nest is getting really comfortable now. | | | |
|
| |
| 12th April | | Lots of white fluffy stuff coming in. Well blow me and strike a light - hubby went out and bought designer nest making fluffy stuff and what do they use? Stuffing from an old dog toy! Note to self forget designer stuff!!!!! | | | |
| |
| |
| | 21st April | | Our first egg! It may be small, but as they say, best things come in small packages. So an old boy friend once told me, but in this case it is true! | | | |
| | | |
| | 24th April | | Every night she goes to bed and in the morning we see another little egg has been laid. | | | |
| | | |
| | 30th April | | Last egg laid 10 in all!!! | | | |
| | | |
| | 3rd May | | Is this the start of hatching? Check the bottom left egg. No sorry false alarm. | | | |
| | | |
| 11th May | | First chick hatches at around 10.30am, more to follow. Was that a first smile or just wind? | | | |
| | | |
| 12th May | | Now starts the hard work - not sure how many are in there | | | |
| | |
| 15th May | | I have seen 10 mouths - look very closely | | | |
| | | |
| | 19th May | | One week and one day old and they are growing fast - most of them. C'mon Tiny Tit. | | | |
| | |
| 20th May | | Can't see Tiny Tit - but two young explorers go walkabout | | | |
| | |
| 23rd May | | These babies are getting really big now - some of the larger chicks have their eyes open. | | | |
| | | |
| | 28th may | | The chicks are nearly as big as mum and dad now - but have really cute little tails | | | |
| | | |
| | 1st June | | The day is the first sunny day we have had for, what seems ages. I am just getting ready to go out and notice loads of activity at around 9.20am - so grab my camera and try and get some outside photos, nearly fell off the patio table and got some pretty awful photos! Well six of the nine left fly away into the neighbours garden!!!! Of the remaining three one goes late in the afternoon while I was out and the last two settle down for the night. | | | |
| | | |
| | 2nd June | | Well I'm up bright and early - but one has already left the nest, on a sad note the smallest one died during the night. So that makes eight of the oringinally hatched ten that have flown the nest. | | | |
